Dog owners often speak to their pets in a high-pitched voice, almost like baby talk, perhaps expecting the tone will elicit a more positive response from their dog. But is that, in fact, true? Do dogs respond better to baby talk than to regular human speech? To answer that question, researchers in Hungary tested 19 dogs using voice recordings and brain scans.
