Why Songbirds Sing So Much

Songbirds have an impressive ability to sing, sometimes almost constantly. While scientists know the reasons birds sing, until now they have not understood why they sing so much. Researchers found that the more birds practiced their singing, the better they became, and that had important implications for their survival. Listen to learn how scientists conducted their experiments and how the results could someday impact humans.
