The Musee Mecanique in San Francisco houses a remarkable collection of antique coin-operated mechanical musical instruments and arcade games. A century or more ago, these items could be found throughout the city, in places ranging from ice cream parlors to hotels. The museum’s owner restores the machines and offers the public a glimpse into their historical significance.
