River Otter Returns to Detroit River


Recently, a man walking along the Canadian side of the Detroit River was surprised to see a river otter diving in the water. The sight was remarkable since otters had not been seen in the river for more than a century. Pollution in the river had made it impossible for several animal species to survive there, but the recent sighting gave hope that the health of the river was improving.
