The demand for electric car batteries is on the rise, but the minerals needed to make the batteries are becoming harder to find. A plentiful source of the sought-after metals can be found in rocks lying on the deep ocean floor, and some people want to start mining them. They say the process of collecting ocean rocks is better than mining on land, which causes deforestation.
