Secret Girls' Schools in Afghanistan


The Taliban’s control of Afghanistan has kept most girls from attending secondary schools since August 2021, when the U.S. withdrew troops from the country. Some girls, however, are finding ways to continue their education in secret. In this audio story, teen girls in Afghanistan discuss the changes in their schooling and share thoughts about their future.
