Professional women soccer players in the U.S. have won their battle for equal pay. The highly skilled U.S. women’s national team has generated excitement about soccer in the U.S. and brought home four World Cup titles, but for years the players have been paid less than their male counterparts. In 2016, several star players filed an official complaint against U.S. Soccer for wage discrimination.
